Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) is a technology addressing the needs of today’s high performance data transmission applications. LVDS is a low voltage differential signaling system which is an electrical system and can run at very high speeds over inexpensive, twisted-pair, stranded copper cables. These twisted pairs maintain the 100ohm differential impedance requires by LVDS data signals. LVDS has become a preferred differential standard due to its capability of delivering high data rates while consuming less power than any other interfacing technologies. LVDS uses high-speed analog circuit techniques to provide multi gigabit data transfers on copper interconnects and is a generic interface standard for high-speed data transmission . This is why the LVDS standard is becoming the most popular differential data transimisson standard in the industry.
LVDS Cable is a kind of custom cable. We must make a drawing before production. The drawing must shows connector type , length ,Pin assignment and other required information.
Now,please allow us to introduce how to produce a LVDS cables:
1.we cut wire and crimp terminals on wires by using Fully automtic swivel arm crimping machine .
2.we need to test Terminal Pulling Force every hour by using tester as below:
3. assemble panel and then twist wires
4. assemble mother board side connector
5. test length and then the first test for pin assignment ,open, short etc
6. assemble braid.
7.assemble Acetate Cloth tape and fix it
8.the second test for pin assignment ,open ,short etc as below
9.Appearance inspection as below
10. QC sampling inspection and then packing.
Now ,we finish a LVDS Cable.
